Fans with Bulls tickets can relax a little bit, as Chicago has reached an agreement with head coach Tom Thibodeau to keep him in the Windy City for the next five seasons. Thidodeau has quickly proven to be one of the best coaches in the NBA, and his defensive expertise has been particularly impressive in his two seasons in Chicago. He won 100 games faster than any other coach in NBA history, and the Bulls led the entire league in wins in each of his first two seasons on the bench.

Big Road Test Awaits Tigers

Fans with LSU football tickets enjoyed a perfect September, as Les Miles and the Bayou Bengals closed out the month undefeated with a 38-22 victory over Towson in Week Five. The Tigers face their toughest opponent of the year so far when they travel to Gainesville to take on the Florida Gators in a battle of undefeated Top 10 teams. The Gators have surged out to an impressive 4-0 record through September, and have their eyes set on capturing the SEC East crown.

Saints in Must-Win Mode Against Chargers

The 2012 season could not have started any worse for the New Orleans Saints, who are winless through the first four weeks of the season. Few fans with New Orleans Saints tickets, if any, could have expected QB Drew Brees and Co. to get off to this difficult of a start, and the defending NFC South champs face a long uphill battle to get back into playoff contention.

It was a crushing blow to fans with LSU Tigers tickets, as their beloved Bayou Bengals suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of SEC rival Florida, as the Gators defeated the head coach Les Miles and the Tigers, 14-6, in a crucial conference battle in Gainesville. The inconsistencies LSU showed in the first month of the season, especially on the offensive side of the ball, finally caught up to the defending SEC champs.

Alabama was thrust directly back into the race for BCS tickets this past week, as both Kansas State and Oregon dropped from the undefeated ranks in Week 12. The 10-1 Crimson Tide have only one hurdle remaining between them and a meeting with Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, a matchup with archrival Auburn in the annual Iron Bowl. Auburn has not been good in SEC play this year, as they are last in the SEC West with a 0-7 conference record. While the Tigers have undeniably dropped off since their national championship run in 2010, they do come into the game with some positive momentum after their 51-7 win over Alabama A&M this past week.

With Washington coming off an embarrassing defeat to the Carolina Panthers in Week 9 and sporting a 3-6 record, few fans with Redskins tickets could have predicted that the team’s trajectory would change so dramatically over the second half of the season. One five-game winning streak later, and the ‘Skins sit at 8-6 overall, tied with the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys for the best record in the NFC East. Washington also owns the tiebreakers over both the Giants and the Cowboys, and can control their playoff destiny by simply winning out. The Redskins are playing their best football of the Mike Shanahan era, as the team is poised to earn their first trip to the postseason since 2007.

The basketball regular season is winding down rapidly, and many of the players that fans with NBA All-Star tickets are familiar with are now preparing for the playoffs. The Heat’s star trio of Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh has long since secured their spot atop the conference, with a dominant 27-game winning streak leaving little doubt that they still reign supreme in the East. It’s not going to be easy for the rest of the conference to take them down, but strange things can happen in the postseason. Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks have been on a tear lately as well, as their current 13-game winning streak has given them a little breathing room for the second spot. Both Brooklyn and Boston briefly challenged New York for control of the Atlantic Division, but both the Nets and Celtics dropped off after the Knicks went on their run. Paul George and the Pacers managed to hold off Joakim Noah, Luol Deng and the Bulls in the East, in large part because Derrick Rose has still yet to take the court for Chicago.
